Hans Hermann Voss Foundation () | Hans Hermann Voss-Stiftung

Who we are and what we support

Established in 1992 and named after its founder, the Hans Hermann Voss-Stiftung is a non-profit foundation under civil law with legal personality, based in the more than 800-year-old Hanseatic City of Wipperfürth in the Bergisches Land region.

In our closer regional environment we support projects in the areas of education and training, assistance to young and old people as well as (on a case-by-case basis) charitable causes. Our foundation objective natural science and research has a broader regional focus and mainly supports universities in the Federal Land of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), especially with scholarships for students of natural science and technical subjects.

Endowments to the foundation's capital stock and donations in line with the foundation's objectives are possible at any time; donors will receive a corresponding receipt.

How we work

We work closely together with non-profit organizations and public institutions in the Oberberg district (Oberbergischer Kreis) and in the Federal Land of North Rhine-Westphalia to identify and pursue suitable projects. This also includes cooperations with other foundations that pursue comparable goals. The Hans Hermann Voss-Stiftung sees itself primarily as a funding foundation.

Projects are funded by the foundation’s income from the assets. The majority of the funding flows to the foundation from the profit distribution that the foundation receives as a shareholder of the VOSS group.
